MSF: Basic Rider

Summary
This 18-hour course is part of the NC Motorcycle Safety
Program. In this class riders will learn the basics of operating a motorcycle.
This course is all-day Saturday & all-day Sunday. 100% attendance at all
scheduled class hours is mandatory. NO EXCEPTIONS. Participants must wear long
pants, long-sleeved shirts, boots over the ankle, full- fingered gloves and eye
protection (sunglasses or prescription eyewear is permissible). Helmets are
available, but individuals are encouraged to bring their own if they have them.
Motorcycles are furnished by PCC. Participants are not permitted to ride their
own motorcycles during the Basic Rider's Course. Participants must be 16 years
of age but are not required to hold a driver's license to participate in the
class. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to
forego the driving portion of the NC DMV test to gain their motorcycle
endorsement. Pre-registration, at least 3 days prior to beginning of the class
is REQUIRED.
Students will receive a REMINDER/CONFIRMATION email with a
campus map, further instructions, and the link to the online portion of the
course Monday prior to the class. Emails may appear in your Junk/Spam
folder.
Please note: Registration payments made online will appear on your
debit or credit card statement as FundFive. FundFive is an approved
third-party payment vendor for Pitt Community College and is used to securely
process online registration payment.
